  • Testing is free of charge at the sites listed below- and no appointment is needed

  • Milwaukee Health Services, Inc. is offering COVID-19 testing by appointment for members of the community who are uninsured or do not have a primary care physician.

  • Testing is being provided at the two locations:

          Isaac Coggs Heritage Health Center, 8200 W. Silver Spring Drive

  • Testing is by appointment only, and residents wanting to schedule a visit or ask questions should call 414-372-8080.

Filing for Unemployment: 

Note that for the best practices, please have individuals fill out the online form. Contact via phone is extremely difficult.

The following are needed to complete the application:  

  • A username and password for filing online

  • A valid email or mobile number

  • Your social security number

  • Your Wisconsin driver license or identification number

  • Your work history for the last 18 months:

  • Employers' business names

  • Employers' addresses (including zip code)

  • Employers' phone number

  • First and last dates of work with each employer

  • Reason no longer working with each employer

  • If not a U.S. citizen, your alien registration number, document number and expiration date

  • Form DD-214 (Member 4 copy), if you served in the military in the last 18 months

    • The Kroger Family of Companies announced Saturday (March 21) it will provide a one-time bonus to every hourly frontline grocery, supply chain, manufacturing and customer service associate, amounting to $300 for every full-time associate and $150 for every part-time associate.

  • Walmart

  • Entrance fees are being waived at Wisconsin state parks. They ask people not gather in groups larger than 10, restrooms, self-registration stations or electronic kiosks. They also ask that patrons maintain six feet of distance from others while on trails

Bills
  • AT&T is waiving fees for customers who exceed data and voice limits.

  • Spectrum is offering free Wi-Fi -Schools across the nation have closed because of COVID-19, but there’s still opportunities to learn. With many teachers turning to virtual classrooms, Spectrum is stepping up to help. Spectrum is offering households with student free Wi-Fi for 60 days. To sign up call 1-844-488-8395.

  • We Energies says it will not disconnect service for customers "until further notice."

    • Customers having difficulty paying their bills should contact WE Energies to work out a plan.

Emergency Food and Meal Site Updates

Please let those you refer to meal sites that meals served there are being offered to go/carry out at this time.  Here is a snapshot of current emergency food assistance resources:

  • An interactive map confirmed by Hunger Task Force of locations providing emergency food to children and adults

  • The Gathering is still providing food but has shifted to bag lunches/pre-packaged meals

  • St. Ben's is still providing food with an evening meal Sun - Fri but limited to the first 50 arrivals.  They have closed the clothing bank at the House of Peace and stopped accepting donations at both sites. The Emergency Food Pantry at the House of Peace is a curbside service, limiting the people in the building

  • St. Vincent de Paul (two locations, south side and north side) are both distributing pre-packaged meals

  • McCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary's "Doorway Ministry" has suspended Friday night dinner but is distributing bag lunches Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

  • Friedens food pantry locations appear to still be open, some limitations apply

  • Open Door Cafe is temporarily closed for hot lunch, but continues to distribute bag lunches

Senior Services
  • Eras Senior Network. Services Provided During COVID-19
    • Medical Appointments: Eras is still providing transportation to essential medical appointments through volunteers. If a volunteer cannot be found for an essential medical appointment, we will coordinate and pay for a cab to transport the client.

    • Grocery Delivery: Volunteers are available to grocery shop for clients and deliver food pantry stock boxes to those in need of food.

    • Phone Calls to Seniors: We are beginning to place wellness check-in calls to our clients to ensure they have what they need, and to provide a break from social isolation.

    • Grocery or Medication Delivery: Help a senior or adult with a disability receive food or medication by picking it up and delivering it to their home.     • COMMUNITY MEALS: Although we will NOT be "seating" people inside for our supper at our three meals per week Community Meals Program, we WILL stage WALK-UP operations in our parking lot. We will have "hand-out," "take away," "to-go" meals available from 5:00-5:40pm on our standard Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings as which we typically serve 85-115 persons.

    • FOOD PANTRY: We will continue to have our standard Food Pantry distribution hours of Tuesday and Wednesday 1-4pm, and Friday 9am-Noon, but PATRONS WILL NEED TO COME TO THE SOCIAL SERVICES WINDOW IN THE BREAD ROOM TO RECEIVE THEIR GROCERIES (not into the Food Pantry itself. We are suspending our "choice pantry" service (in which patrons shop for their needs), and we will temporarily return to our pre-bagged food distribution. (Updated information in GREEN .. no appts are needed.)

    • BREAD ROOM: Free loaves of bread will still be available daily, but not in our standard "Bread Room." An alternative arrangement outside of the parking lot main doors will be set-up for people to pick up bread.

    • SPRING BREAK FEED THE KIDS: Will go on as intended, (as a walk-up bagged lunch program in Waukesha's Sentinel Park) during the week of what was to have been the Waukesha School District's Spring Break-- March 23rd-27th.

    • Breakfast and lunch to kids on k-12th grades. This service will begin on Wednesday, March 18th and will run Mondays through Fridays until the return of school. Grab and go meals will be available at all locations listed below between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each day. Families are encouraged to sign up for the service in order to plan our number of meals serve.

    • A five-day supply of bagged lunches will be available for all district-enrolled students to purchase on Mondays from 9 - 11 a.m. during the closure. Pick up at Hamilton High School.

    • Please pull up to the cafeteria doors and remain inside your vehicle. Lunch service staff will ask for your name and the student's PIN. They will place the bag lunches in your trunk. Normal meal prices apply and will be charged to students’ accounts as follows:

      • $2.60 each for grades K-6

      • $2.95 each for grades 7-12

      • 40 cents each for students who receive reduced price lunches

      • Free for students eligible for free lunches.

    • Families are encouraged to apply for free or reduced lunch using the Campus Infinity account.

  • Oconomowoc School District

    • Free and Reduced Food Service Updates and Future Food Pick-up Dates

    • The OASD has established a plan to provide meals for all students who are in need and we have alerted food pantries to increased community need. If this is a worry for you, please contact your school social worker so we can help you access district and/or community resources.

    • Families that qualify for free or reduced lunch can pick up a full week of breakfast and lunch “Grab and Go” meals at Oconomowoc High School East Campus. Pick up dates and times are as follows:

      • Sunday, March 29: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

      • Monday, March 30: 8:00-10:00 a.m. or 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

    • This program will continue as long as the OASD is closed and will allow families an easy food pick-up plan. District social workers will be on hand to help families through this process. If you do not have a vehicle, please contact your school social worker for delivery arrangements.
