Students currently enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and seminary programs are encouraged to apply for a rewarding, hands-on internship with Catholic Charities! Internships are offered in a variety of programs including Mission Advancement, Child Welfare, Community Counseling and more! An internship at Catholic Charities allows students to utilize their talents and learn more about what is of interest to them. We offer flexible scheduling and professional supervision.

  What is the goal of the Internship program?

To provide students with the opportunity to gain hands on experience in their field of interest and further prepare them for their career.  With the help of interns, we can assist more individuals in our community.

  When are internships available?

Internships are available in the Fall and Spring Semester. Continuation in services is important for our clients; therefore, some placements require one year or two school semesters.

   

  Are these Internship opportunities paid or unpaid?

Internships are unpaid; however, we will work with your school to ensure school credit as needed.

  What is the application process like?
  • After submitting your resume, it will be reviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator and the potential program of interest.
  • Qualified candidates will be contacted to set up a phone interview.
  • Any requirements for your school will be reviewed
  • An in-person interview will be scheduled with the Volunteer Coordinator and Program staff
  How long is the hiring process?

The process can take between 4-6 weeks, based on position

  How many hours will I be working?

The number of hours vary based on the program and University requirements. Typically, interns volunteer between 8-15 hours per week.

  Do interns have to be college students?

Interns must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students.
