Juanita was a stay at home mother of three until she and her children were forced to leave home to escape domestic violence. With no work experience and injuries that limited her ability to do physical work, Juanita had no job prospects. She quickly fell behind on rent and was soon facing the threat of eviction.

Juanita turned to Catholic Charities for help, where she worked with Outreach Case Manager, Lisa, who helped her find solutions for housing, employment and financial stability. Lisa helped Juanita apply for rental assistance to stabilize her housing situation. They worked on her money management skills, developed her professional skills, and she obtained a job that could accommodate her physical limitations. Today, Juanita is fully employed and able to give herself and her family the peace and happiness they deserve.
